Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how SnuggleStream uses them, and your choices regarding cookies. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owners. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them).
2. Cookies We Use
SnuggleStream uses the following types of cookies:
Essential Cookies (First-Party)
These cookies are necessary for the platform to function. You cannot opt out of these without breaking the service.
- Session cookie — Stores your signed-in session identifier so you stay authenticated as you navigate between pages. This cookie is signed and encrypted. It expires after 7 days or when you sign out.
- Theme preference — Stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie, technically) to remember whether you've chosen the light or dark theme.
Advertising Cookies (Third-Party — Google AdSense)
SnuggleStream uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may set cookies on your device to:
- Serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Measure ad performance and prevent the same ad from showing repeatedly.
- Personalise advertising content based on your interests (if you have not opted out of personalised ads).
Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's advertising privacy policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Authentication Cookies (Third-Party — Google OAuth)
When you sign in with Google, Google may set cookies related to the authentication process. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
3. How to Manage Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block cookies from specific sites.
- Block all cookies.
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser.
Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using SnuggleStream's core features.
For instructions on managing cookies in your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
4. Do Not Track
SnuggleStream does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals, as there is no universally accepted standard for how to interpret them. However, we do not track you for advertising purposes ourselves — any ad-related tracking is performed by Google AdSense and can be managed through Google's privacy controls.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
6. Contact
