Welcome to SnuggleStream. By accessing or using our platform you agree to be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What SnuggleStream Is
SnuggleStream is a casual, social platform that lets friends watch video content together in real time. It synchronises playback so everyone in a room sees the same moment at the same time. That's it — we are not a hosting service, content provider, or distribution network.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use SnuggleStream to:
- Watch content you already have legal access to — your own files, content you've purchased, or free / publicly available videos.
- Share a private room with friends for personal, non-commercial viewing sessions.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use SnuggleStream to:
- Distribute pirated content. Do not upload, stream, or share links to copyrighted movies, TV shows, music, or any other media you do not have the right to distribute. This includes sharing pirated MP4 files, torrented media, or ripped streams.
- Circumvent streaming service restrictions. Do not use SnuggleStream to bypass single-screen, single-account, or concurrent-stream limits imposed by subscription services (e.g. Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, etc.). If your subscription is licensed for one viewer, watching through SnuggleStream with others violates those terms — and ours.
- Re-broadcast or redistribute content. SnuggleStream is for private, small-group viewing. Do not use it as a public broadcasting tool or to redistribute content to audiences beyond your personal circle.
- Share or sell access to rooms for commercial gain. SnuggleStream is free and casual. Running paid screenings or selling room codes is not permitted.
- Upload harmful or illegal material. No malware, no content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, no content that exploits minors.
4. Content Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the content they share or stream through SnuggleStream. We do not host, cache, or index video content beyond temporary session data. If you provide a URL or upload a file, you are affirming that you have the legal right to view and share that content in a private setting.
5. No Warranty
SnuggleStream is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about uptime, performance, or availability. We're a casual project — things might break.
6. Account & Data
We use Google Sign-In for authentication. We store only your display name and profile picture to show in rooms. We do not sell your data. Room data (codes, playback state) is held in memory and is not persisted — when a room empties, it's gone.
7. Data Processing & GDPR
We reserve the right to store and process personal data you provide (such as your Google display name, email address, and profile picture) for the purpose of operating the service — authenticating you, displaying your identity in rooms, and maintaining session state. That said, we actively avoid collecting or retaining data beyond what is strictly necessary for the platform to function.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access & Portability. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification. You may ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure. You may request deletion of your personal data. Because we store minimal data and room data is ephemeral, most information is already not retained.
- Restriction & Objection. You may request that we limit processing or object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Withdraw Consent. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by discontinuing use of the service.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling. If we ever need to process data beyond the minimum required for SnuggleStream to work, we will update these terms and notify users accordingly.

8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to any user who violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
9. DMCA / Copyright Complaints
If you believe content shared through SnuggleStream infringes your copyright, please contact us and we will take appropriate action promptly.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
